We are the Advocates for Responsible Care

The Advocates for Responsible Care empower individuals to achieve their maximum wellness with a strong voice as health care advocates, effectively reducing cultural incompetency and health care delivery disparity.

We are a 501(c)3 advocacy organization that focuses on informing the public, especially the patients, about all health care advocacy issues. We advocate on behalf of ensuring full access to medical care for all Georgians.

ARxC originally organized in August 2009 to assist the Grady Dialysis Clinic Patients with receiving ongoing treatment when they were faced with the threat of the outpatient dialysis clinic closing in September 2009. We have continued to support their fight for life through the court system and have attempted negotiations with Grady Hospital and dialysis companies. We also appealed to the citizens of Georgia. Please go to the Dialysis Crisis tab of this website or visit our facebook group page Advocates for Responsible Care - Health Rights to learn more about our efforts. We continue this fight daily and will not stop until their voices are heard.

We are currently in the process of identifying the public's thoughts and opinions on all health care related issues
to derive a consumer-driven vision on what Georgians want in their health care delivery.

The time is NOW. In 2014 every American will be required to have health insurance. We cannot wait any longer to share our ideas, our principles, and our vision. We need your help to ensure your health insurance coverage needs are met.

In the coming months we plan to share with you the first steps in our vision for health care reform and the opportunity of obtaining medical insurance for Georgians.

Please take the time to review the documents in our Issues page to help inform you about the pressing challenges related to health care access and delivery and provide you with the basis from which we are working to develop a best-practice model for health insurance. Here, we also present perspectives from other stakeholders involved in this health care movement.

We are currently in the process of implementing interviews and focus groups to develop an assessment of what the citizens of Georgia want from their health insurance coverage. We encourage you to express your perspective for a comprehensive medical insurance plan that would benefit all the citizens of Georgia at our "Contact Us
" page or you may provide us your contact information if you wish to take part in one of our focus groups. You may also post your comments on our facebook group page Advocates for Responsible Care - Health Rights.  Please share our website with friends, family, and colleagues as it is our goal to gain a comprehensive assessment of what Georgians want from their healthcare system.

The information we receive will inform the development of a survey administered through the Advocacy Action page of this website. The survey will be disseminated throughout the state to identify the opinions and views on health care reform. The data from the survey will be used to develop a template for health insurance to be presented to the elected officials of Georgia and those responsible for implementing health reform in the state of Georgia.

It is our strong belief that patient advocates should be and will be a part of this new health care template.

Thank you,

The Advocates for Responsible Care
